The skiing area of Rauris is varied and modern. It has an altitude of up to 2175 metres. From here you have a fantastic view on the Grossglockner. This is the highest mountain in Austria. The ski area is ideal for families with children. This is due to the clear and simple descents. There are ski schools with playgrounds where the youngest skiers can practice a lot. The ski bus is included in the ski pass price. The Gasteinertal, Zell am See and the Hochkönig region are easy to reach from here. So if you want to ski somewhere else for a day, it's no problem.
Rauris is situated in a narrow green valley and is surrounded by the mountains that belong to the National Park Hohe Tauern. The village has a walking network with more than 295 kilometres of well marked paths. The walking routes are for all levels and you can choose from daytrips, multiple day walking routes and themed walks. The environment of Rauris is green, watery and has many waterfalls, mountain lakes and streams. Would you like to spend a day swimming?
