There are some shops and restaurants in Viehhofen. At the reception of the nearby Landal Ferienpark you can order bread rolls and collect them from 8.00 am. Next to the lift is the Dorfstahl restaurant, where you can enjoy a good meal. Furthermore it is conveniently located between Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Maishofen, near Zell am See and Kaprun.

In the village, you can directly take the ZellamSeeXpress to the Schmittenhöhe, Zell am See's local mountain. The ski area is not only the largest, but also one of the most modern ski areas in Austria. There are snow cannons that guarantee snow from early December to Easter.
