A new 10-seater gondola lift was built in Viehhofen in 2019/2020. You can board this lift, called the ZellamseeXpress, to cross to Zell am See-Kaprun, braving Schmittenhöhe. If you spend a day skiing in the Saalbach area, the descent from this is also up to this lift station. By ski bus, you'll be back home in a few minutes. You can easily reach the lifts of the Saalbach Hinterglemm ski area with the free ski bus. So if you go on a winter sports holiday here, you have 2 beautiful and large ski areas right at your feet!
But it is also a great place to be in other seasons. The well-known places Zell am See, Kaprun and Saalbach-Hinterglemm can be reached within minutes. On a hot summer day, take a refreshing dip in the Zellersee near Zell am See. And don't forget to bring your hiking boots! Take beautiful walks in the unspoilt nature and mountain world around Viehhofen. From the house, you can walk straight into the forest and look for the first typical Austrian Alm
