In accordance with the Institutional Regulations and the rules governing the fee for access, with or without a shuttle service, in Venice and the small islands of the Venetian Lagoon, an additional fee is charged to day-trippers who do not stay overnight and plan to visit the historic city centre from Friday to Sunday or on public holidays, from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM. The fee will be from EUR 5.00 to 10.00 per day, depending on the date of booking. After payment, tourists must have a confirmation. Exempt from this fee are children under 14; residents of Venice and the Veneto region; people working or studying in Venice. Guests staying overnight are also exempt from this fee and must pay the city tax at the accommodation facilities. A cleaning tax is not included in the reservation price and is payable separately at the hotel. Mandatory gala dinner fees may apply at Italy hotels. Guests should contact the hotel directly for more information. Front desk is open 24/7. Different policies apply when booking more than 1 room and/or long stays of 2 nights or more. Guests requiring an invoice must provide all relevant details when booking. For non-prepaid rates, guests can pay by Visa or Mastercard in the currency of their choice. This service is only available if the the home currency of the guest's credit card is not Euros. The city tax is not included in the final price and must be paid by cash at the hotel. A tax is imposed by the city from 1 February to 31 December, EUR 3.50 per person, per night for adults, EUR 1.70 per night for guests aged 10-16 years old. A tax is imposed by the city: From 1 January to 31 January, EUR 2.40 per person, per night for adults; EUR 1.20 per night for guests aged 10-16 years old.
