Discover the Dolomites on a small group hiking adventure. Base yourself in the alpine town of Dobbiaco – surrounded by pointy peaks and lush meadows – and spend eight days hiking through UNESCO World Heritage-listed landscapes, kicking back in village inns and refuelling with hearty mountain food – apple strudel, anyone?The Dolomites sees pleasantly warm weather, with hot summer days and rain and thunderstorms on occasion. It can get cool in the evening throughout the year so bring warm clothes. Good walking clothing including waterproof wet weather gear and appropriate footwear are a must., You’ll walk up to 14 km per day, with a maximum elevation gain of 800 m. You may wish to bring walking poles with you., On Day 7, you’ll take a cable car ride from Versciacio to the start of your walk. The views are stunning, but if you suffer from vertigo, you may feel slightly uncomfortable.
