Follow the ancient Via Transilvanica trail through Romania’s Carpathian Mountains, passing small villages, forests and rolling hills. Visit the Tasuleasa Social NGO and learn how this organisation behind the Via Transilvanica trail project is working to promote local economies by connecting travellers to Romania’s heritage.This is a hiking trip and in some places you won’t have a support vehicle with you, meaning you'll have to walk from A to B. Be prepared for long days (up to 9 hours) and long distances (over 20 km a day)., You'll cover the highlights of the long-distance trail, meaning sometimes you'll have a long drive as you travel from one place to another to start hiking., Some hikes are point-to-point with no shortcuts or the possibility to turn back.
