About this tour
Journey through the Top End on this four-day adventure in Northern Australia’s Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks. Dive into the natural pools at Wangi Falls, have a picnic lunch near Florence Falls and visit the Magnetic Termite Mounds in Litchfield. Cruise up the East Alligator River and learn about the landscape, plants and animals from an Aboriginal guide, look out for wetland birds at Mamukala Wetlands and see the UNESCO World Heritage-listed rock art created by the Bininj people at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie). With an Intrepid leader by your side, get closer to some of the Australia's favourite places, no matter how much time you have.Temperatures in Australia's Top End can be extreme, so you will need to be well-prepared with clothing for the weather. Depending on the time of the year, daytime can be very hot (and the Australian sun is very strong year-round), so always use sun protection and drink plenty of water. In the evenings, temperatures can drop, so bring sufficient warm clothing., On some days of the trip, you'll spend up to 5 hours driving through very remote areas of Australia. Sit back and enjoy landscapes that you would miss in any other form of travel., As sunrise and sunset times and weather conditions vary throughout the year, the order of activities may change to ensure you have the best experience possible. On occasion, the First Nations experiences may not be available should our guides have other cultural commitments, in which case we will include alternative activities., This trip is designed to make the most out of just a few days, which means there isn’t a lot of free time. If you would like to extend your trip, just speak to your booking agent.
