Kötschach-Mauthen is a cozy and quiet village with various restaurants, supermarkets, and a large swimming pool with wellness facilities. Thanks to the many hours of sunshine, you can enjoy a pleasant Mediterranean climate here in the summer. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for an active holiday. Set out for beautiful hikes over alpine meadows and along impressive mountain landscapes, take wonderful mountain bike and cycling tours, or play a round of golf at the courses in Lienz or Waidegg, just a 15-minute drive away. You can also go tobogganing, swim in clear mountain lakes or in the modern pool of Kötschach-Mauthen, go rafting, motorbiking, or mountain climbing. It's no wonder that Kötschach-Mauthen holds the official title of "Climbers' Village." It's also perfect for a fun day trip.
