Major competitions are organised here every year. For cross-country skiers and winter hikers there are numerous possibilities here. Do you feel like sledging? That is also possible here! In summer, a visit to the beautiful medieval town of Murau is highly recommended. Here you will find many nice shops and sociable terraces. Besides beautiful hikes in the mountains, you can also hike or cycle along the Mur cycle path. This is a famous cycle path along the river Mur in the region. In summer as well as in winter, this region is the ideal place for the active guests. Experience the tranquillity here too, because this region has not yet been discovered by mass tourism. You can still enjoy the pure Austrian friendliness and numerous traditions. As far as nature is concerned, the region is incredibly beautiful and full of traditions
